After listening to Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt (originally by Nine Inch Nails) a million times, I realized something kind of strange. Heartache and love are on opposite ends of the spectrum, yet the best art there is, is usually inspired by one or the other. Either when you're so happy, you want the world to know, or when you're so torn apart inside you need a release, a way to let it out.
